Roanoke Comprehensive Treatment Center, located in Roanoke, Virginia, is part of Acadia Healthcare's Comprehensive Treatment Centers, the leading provider of medication-assisted treatment in the nation. Our counseling team provides compassionate, high-quality counseling and therapy to patients that are seeking recovery from Opioid Use Disorder.
Location: Roanoke CTC - Roanoke, VA
Schedule: Early mornings Monday - Friday from 5:00 AM - 2:00 PM, allowing you to enjoy a great work/life balance. Rotating Saturday shifts are included from 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM.
Pay Rate: Dependant upon Counselor Level (1-4)
The Substance Abuse Counselor is Responsible For:
- Providing high quality, compassionate guidance in both individual and group counseling sessions.
- Planning, overseeing, facilitating and documenting patient's recovery.
- Co-facilitating assigned group or family sessions.
- Ensuring all documentation regarding patient care, treatment, and incidents is completed timely and in a clear, concise manner.
- Preparing individual treatment plans for each assigned patient.
- Initial assessments as well as follow up assessments.
- Evaluating patient’ needs and determines if referrals to other programs or facilities are needed
- Providing crisis intervention to patients, as needed.
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree in social or health services field with 2 years’ experience in counseling field, OR
- Master's degree in social or health services field with 1 years’ experience in counseling field
Licenses/Certifications:
- CSAC eligibility required - must obtain within 90 days of employment
- CSAC completion preferred
- Also considering LMHP or LPC
