Subspecialties
The IR nurse is part of a 3-4-person team in the procedural environment. They monitor, sedate and assess patients during diagnostic/therapeutic procedures.
Job DutiesInterventional Radiology Nurse Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Job Related ExpectationRepresents the mission, vision and values of CiC in all functions of the position. Demonstrates leadership and personal growth through participation in education practice-based programs, department operations and identifying new opportunities to enhance job functions. Applies the standards of practice/performances guidelines relative to departmental operations.
Customer Service ExpectationDemonstrates customer services that is in keeping with vision of CiC. Exhibits concern and compassion for all patient needs whether directly or through supportive actions with a patient's family. Applies the standard of practice performance to achieve positive outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications
Wage: $45.00 an hour
Salary: $44.00 - $45.00 per hour

The IR nurse is part of a 3-4-person team in the procedural environment. They monitor, sedate and assess patients during diagnostic/therapeutic procedures.
Job DutiesInterventional Radiology Nurse Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Pre-Ops patients for procedure, including IV lines and meds
- Prepares patients in procedural suite.
- Circulates and assists
- Sedates and monitors patients
- Performs the proper handling of patient tissue samples, patient IV access
- Responds to contrast reactions
- Administers meds as ordered by the physician
- Makes recommendations to the referring physician, the patient, and family under the guidance of the IR physician
- Provides patient/family education
- Orchestrates patient discharge

Minimum Qualifications
- Must have successfully graduated from an approved nursing program
- RN license in the state(s) position is listed for
- Successful completion of an approved sedation certification
- 2 years critical care or coronary care experience.
- Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail
- Skill in data entry with minimal errors
- Ability to accurately prepare and maintain records, files, reports and correspondence
- Ability to work independently in a collaborative environment
- Must successfully complete CME compliance training as required by CiC
- BLS/ACLS required
- Must maintain high patient privacy standards and adheres to HIPAA guidelines
- Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion
- Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills
- Must be willing to be flexible as to shifts and schedules
Wage: $45.00 an hour
Salary: $44.00 - $45.00 per hour
