CLINICAL RESEARCH COORDINATOR 

MONDAY -FRIDAY

BUSINESS HOURS 

We seek a highly motivated Clinical Research Coordinator to join our ophthalmology research team.  

Do you have a background as a research coordinator or ophthalmic assistant? This opportunity provides the opportunity for growth and new challenges.

We are seeking a dedicated Research Coordinator to join our team at Retina Consultants of Nevada, specializing in ophthalmology. The Research Coordinator will collaborate closely with the Principal Investigator and other team members to ensure the seamless execution of clinical research studies.

Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate all phases of research studies in adherence to study protocols, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and FDA regulations.
2. Screen, recruit, and enroll eligible participants, maintaining strict compliance with inclusion/exclusion criteria.
3. Organize and oversee study visits and procedures, including scheduling, tracking, and communication with participants and their families.
4. Collect, document, and manage study data with meticulous attention to accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality.
5. Ensure strict adherence to study timelines, procedures, and protocols, promptly communicating progress and any issues to the study team.
6. Assist in the preparation of Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions, study reports, and other regulatory documents as required.
7. Manage study-related supplies, equipment, and facilities, ensuring availability, proper utilization, and maintenance.
8. Attend relevant meetings and conferences, representing the study team with professionalism and expertise.
9. Cultivate and maintain effective relationships with team members, participants, and stakeholders.
10. Undertake other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of research endeavors.

Qualifications

A successful candidate for CLINICAL RESEARCH COORDINATOR  – OPHTHALMOLOGY has the following:

• A Bachelor's degree in biology, health science or similar is preferred. 
• A committed work history that shows longevity and growth
• Experience in a fast-paced lab, healthcare, or medical office environment. Other disciplines may be considered.
• Proven ability to establish effective working relationships with patients, technicians, physicians, and outside departmental staff
• Experience with scribing preferred but not required.
• Familiarly with computer software and the ability to learn new systems quickly (Electronic health record experience preferred)
• Able to remain focused and organized
• Able to stand with mobility for extended periods 
• ability to work at different work locations during the day on occasion- clean DMV and/or transportation required.
