Summary

The Fabrication VDC Coordinator will assist in production of HVAC and Plumbing models and field/shop drawings for a variety of projects. Populate, coordinate, and produce Fabrication content for the building of mechanical & plumbing systems.

Essential Duties

• Prepare Mechanical & Plumbing drawings, which include layouts for ductwork, mechanical piping, plumbing piping, & riser drawings.
• Produce engineering drawings from sketches, red-line mark-ups, existing drawings and designer field notes diagrams, details and schedules.
• Create point layout files for items such as hangers, housekeeping pads, floor sleeves, etc. and to be imported into a layout tool for laying out points in the field.
• Work with and manage the coordination of subcontracted VDC companies for project coordination.
• Perform clash detections utilizing Navis or BIM 360 glue.
• Generate clash reports
• Create drawings using Revit.
• Produce RFI's pertinent to the coordination process.
• Familiar with reviewing submittal information.
• Decision making that impact jobs.
• Working in jobsite trailer when project requires.

Experience

• 2-5 years of related experience in Mechanical and Plumbing Trade
• 3-5 years experience with Fabrication MEP softwar, Buildng Sysue and NAVIS
• 1-5 years experience with Fabrication Revit software

Education

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)required.
• BS degree preferred but not required

• Proficiency using the following softwares: Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, AutoCAD MEP, Fabrication CAD MEP, Revit, Navisworks Manage, Autodesk Point Layout, Autodesk BIM360 Glue, Autodesk BIM360 Field & Plangrid are a help but not required.
• Good verbal and reading skills.
• Able to clearly communicate (both, oral and written) with customers, suppliers, and other CES employees.
• Proper safety equipment.
• Accurately diagnose and efficiently complete assignments to the mutual benefit of the customer and CES.
• Meet time schedules, deadlines, and plan and organize work
• Work confidently with discretion, independently and with little direction
• Work cooperatively with others using tact, patience, and courtesy.

Licenses/Certifications

• Valid Florida Driver's License is required
• Incumbent must be insurable at all times by CES insurance carrier
