1.0 Summary
The Cost Accountant is responsible for managing and maintaining the cost accounting system, incorporating understanding of manufacturing operations and generally accepted accounting practices. This position will take direction with general supervision from the Controller and requires interaction with all levels of the organization.

6.0 Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
7.0 Physical and Mental Requirements
The employee must use hands and fingers and reach with hands and arms and must be able to walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear.
The employee must be able to lift 20 pounds.
The employee must have specific vision abilities required by this job including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.
The employee must have the ability to sit for long periods of time.
This position requires peak mental ability and the ability to concentrate intensely for extended periods of time.

8.0 Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
· Full Time

· Monday – Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
9.0 Travel
Travel is not required for this position.
10.0 Required Education and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
· 2 years of industry experience in manufacturing, cost accounting, and inventory controls.
· Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
· Proficiency in NetSuite ERP system.
· Experience with Bill of Materials management, Formula Management, and Inventory Management within NetSuite.
· Ability to analyze complex data and present findings in a clear and concise manner.
11.0 Preferred Experience
· NetSuite experience a plus.
· Experience in manufacturing, cost accounting, and inventory controls.
12.0 Work Authorization
This job requires work authorization documentation to be completed at the time of hire in alignment with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services regulations (USCIS). I-9 documentation is followed.
