Complete Women's Imaging, PC is Hiring a Medical Assistant-Women's Imaging practice Near Garden, NY

Busy radiology practice specializing in women's imaging is seeking qualified applicants for the Back Office Assistant position in our clinical department.

Full Time. Monday-Friday, possible Saturday or Sunday rotation as needed for coverage.

Flexible schedule.

As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing clinical and administrative support to the technologists, radiologists and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The goal is to provide high quality services in a timely manner.

*This position is for the clinical area in the radiology department. No vital signs, ekg or bloodwork. Candidate will be trained to assist in ultrasound biopsies and other special procedures.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist technologists and radiologists with patient care needs and patient flow as it relates to clinical services
  • Greet patients and escort them to changing rooms, exam rooms and other areas of the practice as needed
  • Interview patient, obtain and record reason for visit as well as any other pertinent clinical and/or family history
  • Assist in the care of equipment and supplies, including laundry/linens. Make sure rooms are appropriated stocked throughout the day
  • Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
  • Chaperone radiologist during patient exams as needed
  • Assist radiologist in procedures such as biopsy (chaperone, set up of equipment and supplies, etc)
  • Assist with phone calls to patients, referring physicians, pathology lab or other parties as directed
  • Perform faxing, photocopying, filing and other duties as directed or assigned

Skills

  • Minimum 1-2 years work experience as an Assistant in a medical office
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Social perceptiveness and service oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bilingual in spanish a plus, but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $24.00 per hour
