In addition, (s)/he may be selected to be the Finance lead on cross-departmental projects.Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for all journal entries, monthly account reconciliations, and transactions for assigned accounts. Responsible for the timely creation and verification of monthly general ledger entries. Manages MassHealth Accountable Care Organization transactions and reporting. Works with senior finance staff to review financial documents and perform income and expense analysis. Maintains records for financial audits and prepares audit schedules. Reports to the Accounting Manager and collaborates and consults with outside contracted affiliates (i.e., Mass Health, Providers, DOI) and various departments within the organization. Partners with the Accounting Manager to discuss the financial impact for certain journal entries. Helps mentor and lead more junior staff. May lead project teams and supervise the work of others. Masters Degree in accounting preferred. Healthcare/Insurance experience preferred. Intermediate excel skills required. Experience with various financial systems including Workday preferred.
