Emergency room looking for medical secretary for 3rd shift.

Schedule: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM, (every other weekend/holiday) 40 hours/week

13 week contract

Responsibilities:

• Accurately obtains and enters demographic, insurance and other related patient information into the computer-based patient registration/scheduling system
• Ensures all patient and/or witness signatures are collected on appropriate paperwork such as HIPAA, Consent to Treat, etc
• Obtains and verifies patient insurance coverage and follows guidelines established by insurers to ensure that pre-authorization, pre-certification, and physician referrals for treatment are obtained prior to patient visits
• Follows up to correct discrepancies as required

Requirements:

• At least one recent year of medical secretary experience
• High school diploma OR GED
