Job Title: Tool and Die Maker
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and repairing tools and dies used in the manufacturing process. The Tool and Die Maker will work closely with production teams to ensure that tools and dies are functioning properly and meet quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of tools and dies
- Design and build tools and dies using various machines and tools
- Inspect finished tools and dies for accuracy and quality
- Repair and maintain existing tools and dies
- Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot and resolve tool and die issues
- Ensure that all tools and dies meet safety standards
- Maintain accurate records of tool and die maintenance and repairs
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Tool and Die Maker apprenticeship program or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics
- Experience using various machines and tools, including lathes, grinders, and milling machines
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects
Working Conditions: The Tool and Die Maker will work in a manufacturing environment and may be exposed to loud noises, dust, and other hazards. The position may require standing for extended periods of time and lifting heavy objects.
Salary: The salary for this position will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
