Full-Time (RN) Registered Nurse Unit Manager

Responsibilities of the (RN) Registered Nurse Unit Manager:

• Directly supervise the nursing staff on assigned shift by monitoring the distribution of medications, blood draws, and other elements of patient care.
• Conduct nursing rounds on all each unit multiple times throughout the shift.
• Customer service for care planning, greivances, admission and discharge process.
• Provide education, as needed, to staff, residents and resident family members.
• Ensure staff are performing all duties in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned by Assistant Director of Nursing, Director of Nursing or Administrator.

Qualifications of the (RN) Registered Nurse Unit Manager :

• Prior experience managing staff for compliance with care, education, documentation.
• Ability to work independently or part of a group- will participate in team meetings and quality assurance meetings.
• Computer knowledge. Prior experience with Point Click Care helpful.
• General knowledge of MDS helpful.
• Previous long term care experience is preferred but not required.

License:

• Must have an Active RN License
