Job Summary: The Full-Time Evening RN Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership and supervision during the evening shift in our long-term care facility. This position involves coordinating and overseeing nursing activities, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and standards. The RN Supervisor will collaborate with other healthcare professionals, manage staffing, and contribute to the overall well-being of residents.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership and Supervision:

   • Provide leadership to nursing staff during the evening shift.
   • Oversee the delivery of patient care and ensure adherence to established protocols.
   • Address staffing needs and make necessary adjustments.

2. Patient Care:

   • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for residents.
   • Monitor residents' health and well-being.
   • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.

3. Staffing:

   • Participate in the staffing process, including scheduling and assignment of duties.
   • Address staffing issues and make adjustments as needed.
   • Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate important information.

4. Quality Assurance:

   • Ensure compliance with facility policies, state, and federal regulations.
   • Conduct regular assessments of the quality of care and implement improvements.
   • Collaborate with other departments to address and resolve issues.

5. Communication:

   • Communicate effectively with physicians, families, and other healthcare professionals.
   • Document and maintain accurate records of patient care and other relevant information.

6. Emergency Response:

   • Be prepared to handle emergencies and unexpected situations.
   • Provide leadership during crisis situations and ensure the safety of residents and staff.

7. Training and Development:

   • Provide training and orientation for new staff.
   • Facilitate ongoing education and professional development for nursing staff.

8. Compliance:

   • Stay informed about changes in healthcare laws and regulations.
   • Ensure staff compliance with all applicable regulations.

9. Quality Improvement:

   • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the overall quality of care.
   • Collect and analyze data to identify areas for improvement.

10. Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with other departments, such as social services, rehabilitation services, and dietary, to provide comprehensive care.

11. Conflict Resolution:

    • Address conflicts and concerns among staff members and work towards resolution.
