Registered Nurse Supervisor Responsibilities:

• Provide direction and guidance to the nursing staff, including Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Certified Nursing Assistants, to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
• Monitor and assess patient needs, develop care plans, and assist in the provision of direct patient care as necessary.
• Create and manage nursing staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts and maintaining appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios.
• Monitor and maintain quality assurance standards and policies to ensure the highest level of care and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Identify staff training needs, provide in-service education, and support professional development to enhance the skills and knowledge of the nursing team.
• Oversee and review nursing documentation, including patient records, progress notes, and incident reports, to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain effective communication with healthcare providers, patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate optimal patient care.
• Address and resolve any issues or concerns related to patient care, staffing, or facility operations.
• Coordinate and manage responses to medical emergencies and ensure that appropriate protocols are followed.
• Ensure that the nursing staff adheres to all facility policies and procedures and follows applicable state and federal regulations.

Registered Nurse Supervisor Qualifications:

• High school diploma
• RN supervisor experience
• RN license in NJ
• Leadership qualities
• LTC/SNF experience 
• Serious applicants
