Job description: Medical Front Office Clerical

Location: Vista, CA

Reports to: Clinic Manager

Compensation: Competitive (based on experience)

Medical Clinic is looking for a full-time Medical Assistant to join its clinic located in the San Diego County Area. The position is under the direct supervision of the Clinic Manager/Designee and is responsible for front office medical assisting functions, performing all front office tasks as assigned by clinic manager and the company. Must follow the established clinical protocols, policies, and procedures within the defined scope of education, training, and responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

Answer phones, direct calls and process messages

Scan paper medical records into electronic chart

Process medical record request

Process incoming/ outgoing digital faxes

Process patient portal messages

Greet and check in patients for visits, including updating chart of any changes

Ensure patient charts are ready for next day visit

Support other front office staff

Skills:

NextGen and EHR knowledge is a plus.

Excellent Computer Skills

Good Communication and written skills

Ability to work in a team.

Experience in Family Pact and CHDP programs preferred.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant school with a current MA certificate

Two years’ experience preferred

Bilingual (English/Spanish) Preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
