Porter 2-10p

This position is an opportunity to work in a long-term care environment while being supported and becoming familiar with a nursing facility and job duties. One on one learning occurs ensuring a comfortable and great orientation! After 30 days, if eligible, there is an opportunity to sign up for CNA class paid for by the facility.

Responsibilities of Porter:

• Maintains resident rooms by cleaning restroom, walls, baseboards, doors, ceilings, mirrors, dusting, washing windows, removing trash ect

• Moves furniture in order to dry and wet mop floors.

• Dusts and cleans all furniture and fixtures

• Terminal Cleaning of resident room upon transfer, discharge, or death

• Cleans and empties trash in soiled utility rooms

• Maintains facility appearance by cleaning all stairwells, washing windows main main lobby, offices, staff and resident lounges

• Cleans and polishes elevators as needed

• Performs emergency housekeeping where accidents occur

• Restocks and maintains a clear stockroom and housekeeping cart.

Qualifications of Porter:

• Ability to work independently or part of a group.
