About the RoleCBS is hiring a Chief Engineer to oversee a property in Alexandria, VA. Hours are 6:30 am - 3:00 pm, Monday - Friday.A typical day in the life of our Chief Engineer:Assign work to subordinates utilizing CMMS to maintain building operationsProvide Quality Control services for the work of subordinates and subcontractors to ensure maximum efficiency, economy, and quality of work performedPerform diagnostic and repairs on building systemsPrepare work schedulesTrain, or arrange for training of, Contractor employees in the proper maintenance of building systemsCoordinate and schedule maintenance and repair work daily to provide on-time delivery of contract requirementsPrepare and issue solicitations for the Contractor as necessary for the acquisition of goods and services in support of the contract requirementsAdminister the CMMS requirements dailyProficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and project tracking softwareYou Should HavePlease review the qualifications needed for the role:A minimum of five (5) years experience in a facility of comparable size and complexity requiring similar servicesExperience installing, troubleshooting, testing, repairing, and maintaining all MEP systems and associated equipmentPossess knowledge of the composition, operation, and installation of a variety of MEP systems, circuits, equipment, and controlsPossess knowledge of national and local applicable and respective MEP codesStrong computer skillsDemonstrate a working knowledge of engineering and building systemsAbility to read, review and understand blueprintsExcellent communicatorEOE/M/F/Vet/DisabledWhy You'll Love Working With UsComplete Building Services (CBS) is a company that is passionate about the operation and maintenance of buildings/facilities in the commercial and government sectors.
