Behavioral Technician (BT):
As a Behavioral Techncian (BT) you will complete a 40-hour online course and be provided with hands-on training to obtain your Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) Certificate. You will also work under the supervision of a Lead Registered Behavioral Technician, Board-Certified Behavior Analyst, and alongside a professional team to provide one-on-one behavioral interventions to teach communication, social, and daily living skills and to reduce challenging behaviors to special needs children across all environments. You will also provide observational data on the learning process of the clients and documenting using our system.
Job Type:
This is a contract – fee for service PT or FT opportunity.
Compensation:
$17.00 per billable service hours
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old.
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Pass background check
Reliable transportation
Have patience and is compassionate and loving.
Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills
Excellent work ethic and the ability to meet scheduling commitments.
Willingness to adapt to various situations, changing behaviors, and environments.
Unconditional desire to help kids live their best lives.
Responsibilities:
Complete 40-hour online-course plus 40-hour shadowing/hands-on training
To obtain Registered Behavioral Technician Certificate
Provide 1:1 behavioral intervention to teach communication, social, and daily living skills and to reduce challenging behaviors to special needs children across all environments.
May require helping with potty training and diaper changes as many of our clients have challenging behaviors.
Work collaboratively with Lead Registered Behavioral Therapist, Board-Certified Behavior Analyst, and professional team to implement individualized treatment plan based on client’s needs.
Collect observational data on clients’ learning process.
Document client progress and enter data into system.
Physical Demands:
Frequently required to stand, walk, run, bend
Use hands to assist clients in standing/sitting; reach with hands and arms.
Agility to quickly transition from sitting to standing.
Lifting, pushing, pulling up to 25 lbs.
May require helping with potty training and diaper changes as many of our clients have challenging behaviors.
