Job description

• Education: HS Diploma or equivalency, trade school, military or specialized training.
• Experience: Manufacturing, Industrial, Service Industry
• Computer: Outlook, Internet, Excel

Skills required:

• Electrical: Some ability to troubleshoot wiring, controllers, modules, sensors, PLC, etc.
• Mechanical: Strong ability to repair mechanisms, bearings, rotating assemblies, chain drives, motors, etc.
• Hydraulic: Strong ability to repair hoses, pumps, cylinders, etc.
• Fabrication: Ability to design and/or make small parts or to improve the equipment/process.
• Welding: Ability to weld if necessary.
• Familiarity with Chiller systems, compressor systems, material conveyors, manufacturing equipment, chipper, and recycling grinders.

Job Description:

• Maintain the manufacturing equipment in good operating shape at all times.
• Daily plant safety walk-through inspection, machine readiness, and forklift inspection.
• Perform needed PM servicing of all equipment and document the work done.
• Identify mechanical problems or potential issues - schedule downtime with the manager to make repairs.
• Maintain and expand inventory of spare parts and tools.
• In addition:
• Ability to set up service contract appointments, and collaborate with service tech to discuss issues.
• Maintain PM, maintenance requests, and service records.
• Ability to fill out POs, collect quotes, etc., and submit by the next day for processing.
• We are looking for team players. Establish a daily routine for maintenance techs
• Establish a daily routine review of activities
• Establish a bench repair program
• Prioritize cap-ex
• Organize machine manual library - Digitalized if possible
• Establish a maintenance contract bumper to bumper for the compressors
• Generate a project list for the new machine installation
• Establish programs to improve machine uptime and reliability
• Start performance reviews in the department using the template
• Establish maintenance savings programs yearly
• Establish root cause analysis training for the maintenance techs
• Identify training needs for the maintenance department and operators
• Implement a TPM program to involve operators
• Take the lead in the Davis-Standard new machine
• PM the old drums (hoses, cleaning, etc) and establish the PM program
• Everyone is responsible for quality products and safety.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.26 - $28.01 per hour

Experience:

• Maintenance: 1 year (Preferred)
