Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide exceptional care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, autism, and seniors in need of assisted living or hospice care. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting with daily activities and promoting their independence.
Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients
- Administer medications according to prescribed schedules
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as necessary
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote socialization and mental stimulation
- Monitor and document changes in client's condition or behavior
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment for clients
- Respect and uphold the rights of residents, ensuring their dignity and privacy
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to develop personalized care plans
Skills:
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, autism, or seniors preferred
- Knowledge of resident rights and best practices in senior care
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families
- Ability to provide compassionate care while maintaining professionalism
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Attention to detail in documenting client information and reporting changes in condition
- Ability to adapt to different environments and handle challenging situations with patience
