Job Summary

CompassCom is seeking a professional candidate to support the sales team and bridge the gap between Sales, Operations and Accounting. We serve as consultants and educators for our clients, helping them choose the best bundled solutions for their requirements, whatever they may be. Preferred hours for this position are 8 AM – 5 PM Monday through Friday, but part-time would be considered. The candidate will need to understand inventory and provide excellent customer service. It also requires great communication, team work and organizational skills. This person must be detail oriented, able to multi-task, work on strict deadlines, prioritize, be flexible, and be able to work across multiple teams. This position must thrive in a team environment as it will undertake most of the administrative duties in an effort to free the management and sales team so they may focus on the busy business of operations and sales! This position will be responsible for processing all customer orders and managing them from start to finish. It maintains all price books in the quoting system & Dynamics 365. This position will also be working proactively with accounting personnel to ensure the proper recording of transactions that impact inventory.

Responsibilities adn duties include but are not limited to:

  • Administrating the entire sales process from quote to…sales order to…invoice to…money in the bank.
  • Manage the opportunity in Microsoft Dynamics CRM
  • Track all sales orders from the vendor to the customer when applicable
  • Fulfill and track all orders until the customer receives the order in its entirety
  • Pull reports to assist management and the sales team in forecasting
  • Fills orders by transferring orders to fulfillment as necessary
  • Communicating expected delivery date to client
  • Pull reports to assist in determining inventory stock as well as compliance with vendor purchasing programs
  • Monthly inventory counts
  • Investigate and account for all inventory errors per monthly inventory audits
  • Recording daily flow of inventory
  • Manage UPS account including all incoming and outgoing shipping
  • Support Customers
  • Maintain current price books
  • Create and track purchase orders
  • Research inventory overages/shortages for all inventory
  • Review all orders for accuracy
  • Maintain vendor relationships
  • Ensure all Purchase Orders are placed into appropriate location within CRM

Basic Requirements

  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience in accounting or sales support
  • Excellent computer skills required. Must be proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Publisher.
  • Must possess effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong analytical, organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret internal and external policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Ability to work and thrive in a team environment across all levels of the company

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience Dynamics 365 and QuickBooks
  • General administrative skills/knowledge
  • Inventory/accounting experience is a huge plus
  • Database Management Experience
