We’re looking for:

• A warm, outgoing, compassionate individual
• Outstanding client communication skills, a meticulous attention to detail, and a positive attitude.
• Fear Free certification (we’ll train and pay for your online tuition)
• Have prior experience in a veterinary clinic (experience with paperless software applications like Impromed are a plus!)
• Available to work some Saturdays, evenings, and holidays

As a Compass Veterinary Assistant, you will be responsible for:

• Client service and communication
• Welcoming and discharging patients
• Front desk duties including managing phones, email, faxing, filing
• Gentle patient handling and restraint
• Helping with all aspects of outpatient appointments
• Administering injections and medications
• Venipuncture and placing IV catheters
• Assisting with surgery and monitoring anesthesia
• Pharmacy and laboratory duties
• Hospital maintenance and cleaning
