Description
Job Summary:
Job responsibilities are to assemble multiple cable harnesses from schematic/technical drawings and work instructions. Crimp pins, terminate shields and assemble connectors. Manage harnesses with tie wrap/lacing, braided sleeves and heat shrink as necessary. Assemble electro-mechanical modules and systems as required. Test manufactured products.
Required to be able to use the following tools, equipment (wire strippers, crimpers, solder stations, heat gun, various hand tools, VOM, cable tester, tape measure,)
Essential Job Functions:
· General knowledge of common mechanical techniques (such as geometric dimensioning and tolerance practices).
· Ability to verify measurements to validate part compliance using various measurement devices (calipers, tape measure, pin gauges, go/no-go gauges, etc.).
· Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings and able to verify part dimensions against drawing requirements.
· Ability to use the following tools, equipment, or software (VOM, cable tester, pull tester, etc.)
· General computer data entry knowledge.
· Ability to work within a production team environment
Requirements
Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills:
HS Diploma and/or 2 years experience in related field or academic study
Physical Requirements:
Technician will need to be able to lift up to 45lbs, have good manual dexterity of hands and eye sight to use a wide range of materials, tools and equipment.
