Job Summary

Chartwells Higher Education is seeking a self-motivated/energetic individual for the role of Director, Retail Dining Services at Seattle University In this role you will direct the day-to-day operations and financial success of multiple foodservice retail locations on campus. You will support the overall success of the food service operation. This includes adhering to the client's culture and guidelines, the Health Department's regulations, and company's standards/policies, and expectations of food quality, freshness and presentation. Additionally, you will be responsible for the following:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Directs the day-to day food service operation for multiple retail locations, which includes national branded concepts
Directs daily operations of food service to ensure employees have appropriate equipment, inventory and resources, ensures operating standards and regulatory requirements are met
Develops and implements plans, projects, with defined objectives, methods, timetables and budget to support client and Chartwell's strategic plan
Maintains client and customer satisfaction for food quality and customer service
Supervises the hiring, training and development of staff
Completes daily, weekly, or financial reports
Implements and maintains cash handling processes and standards
Ensures all QA and sanitation standards are maintained
Performs other duties as assigned

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

B.S. Degree in Food Services Technology/Management or related field; or A.A. Degree plus four years of directly related experience preferred
Five to seven years of direct foodservice operational management experience with inventory and purchasing knowledge and control
Higher Education experience in board and retail operations is preferred
Retail marketing experience is preferred
Knowledge of P&L accountability and contract-managed service experience is desirable
ServSafe Certification is preferred
Strong supervisory, leadership, management and communication skills

Salary Range: 80,000-90,000
Starting Rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to: location, education, training, and/or experience
