Bishop Gadsden, The premier senior living community in the Southeast known for its innovative culinary program, is currently seeking an inventive, Full Time Service Manager The primary purpose of this position is to collaborate with our team of front-of-house managers to exceed expectations in managing our two dining rooms, we strive to enhance customer service and relations for all residents, guests, and team members dining at Bishop Gadsden. A Typical Day:

• Maintain the highest level of fine dining service to residents, guests and team members.
• Perform back up management duties for Winningham Court and Market Place Café.
• Improve efficiency and effectiveness of systems used with month end and resident billing and catering services.
• Provide daily instruction and direction as needed to Winningham and Café team members.
• Maintain Point of Sale system and train others, as needed.
• Take inventory of alcoholic beverages.
• Ensure cash control procedures for café, as needed.
• Assist the Operations Manager in planning and conducting team member evaluations.
• Assist with special functions and catering events.
• Work with sommelier on wine offerings for our restaurants.
• Manage the reservation for Winningham Court appropriately space out our seating.
• Update and maintain Culinary training manual, operations manual, and all other new pertinent information regarding position specific roles.

What We Need In A Candidate:

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field desirable or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of three years’ experience in fine dining events and/or catering.
• Observe fiscal responsibility in use of Bishop Gadsden resources and purchases made on behalf of Bishop Gadsden.
• Ability to stand, stoop, bend reach, squat, climb, reach above head, carry, and lift (up to 50 pounds /-).
• Must be able to speak clearly and listen effectively to employees, dining room staff, and residents.
• Professional appearance and attitude for daily interaction with residents, families, co-workers, and public.
• Ability and experience using computer software related to the culinary industry.
• Ability to work occasional weekends and holidays
• Ability to read and comprehend numbers and written material both on paper and on computer systems in English
