Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Campus Dietitian with a specialization in sports nutrition to join our food service team at Chartwells Higher Education. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work directly with student athletes, coaches, and athletic staff to develop and implement nutrition programs designed to optimize performance, enhance recovery, and promote overall health.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct nutrition assessments for student athletes, taking into account their sport, training schedule, dietary preferences, and performance goals.
Develop customized nutrition plans tailored to each athlete's specific needs, with an emphasis on fueling performance, supporting recovery, and preventing injury.
Provide ongoing nutrition education and counseling to student athletes, coaches, and athletic trainers, both individually and through group workshops and presentations.
Stay informed of the latest research and best practices in sports nutrition, and incorporate evidence-based recommendations into program development and implementation.
Serve as a resource for campus dining services to ensure that nutritious and athlete-friendly meal options are available to student athletes.
Participate in outreach initiatives to promote nutrition awareness and wellness among the campus community, including hosting events, writing articles, and engaging with student organizations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Exercise Science, or a related field.
Registered Dietitian (RD) required.
Previous experience working with athletes in a sports nutrition in a campus setting.
Strong understanding of the nutritional needs and requirements of athletes across various sports and teams.
Excellent communication and social skills, with the ability to optimally educate and empower athletes.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary leadership environment.
Passion for sports and a dedication to helping athletes achieve their full potential through nutrition.
