MD/DOs, NPs, and PAs are all encouraged to apply. Job Requirements of the Medical Officer of the Day: Providing Medical Officer of the Day (MOD) for night shifts 4 pm – 8 am, Monday through Friday throughout the week, including federal holidays (24 hours), 24-hour or 48-hour weekend coverage, and any other mutually agreed upon hours.Assessment of in-house patients (average 2 patient transfers and 3 program admissions per tour)MOD tours on evenings, weekends, and holidaysQualificationsQualifications of the Medical Officer of the Day: Education – Graduate from a nationally accredited UniversityFull and Unrestricted license to practice from a state, territory, or commonwealthContinuing education courses required for maintaining certificationCurrent DEA certificate and NPIBasic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or American Red CrossNationally Certified/Board Certified Provider of one of the following specialties:Physicians – Internal Medicine or Family PracticePhysician Extenders - Adult Health, Geriatric, Family or Primary CareAdditional InformationEOE AA M/F/Vet/DisabilityAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
