JOB SUMMARY: As an Information Technology Intern, you will be assisting in the upgrading of computers from Windows 10 to Windows 11. Working closely with our IT team, the successful candidate will ensure a seamless transition to the latest operating system. This position offers an excellent opportunity for motivated and detail-oriented individuals seeking hands-on experience in IT support and system administration.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Assist in the planning and coordination of Windows 11 upgrade project.Conduct pre-upgrade system assessments to ensure compatibility with Windows 11 requirements.Perform data backup and migration procedures to safeguard user files and settings.Deploy Windows 11 on designated computers following established protocols and best practices.Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues encountered during the upgrade process.Provide end-user support and guidance regarding new features and functionalities of Windows 11.Document upgrade procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.Collaborate with IT team members to optimize upgrade workflows and minimize downtime.Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide project updates and address concerns.Adhere to security policies and procedures to safeguard sensitive information throughout the upgrade process. QUALIFICATIONS:Basic understanding of Windows operating systems and familiarity with Windows 10.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with users of varying technical abilities.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Prior experience with computer hardware/software installation and maintenance is a plus.Knowledge of system imaging and deployment tools (e.g., Microsoft Deployment Toolkit, Windows Deployment Services) is desirable but not required.Availability to work full-time during the specified seasonal period. EDUCATION:Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
