If you would like to continue your education experience without the burnout and stress, Community Workforce Solutions Inc. is searching for High School Transitions Facilitators for students with disabilities in the Wake County area.
Under the supervision of the Transition Instructor, this position is responsible for supporting the instruction of direct services to students (ages 14-22) with disabilities. This includes understanding and being able to communicate individually or in groups and to facilitate learning of topics related to transitioning to adulthood.
High School Transitions Facilitator duties may include:
Modifying Lessons
• Taking an idea and helping scaffold to meet the needs of different students
• Helping to prep and modify materials
Data Entry
• Time Records (Entering daily time records for students that you work with each day)
• Progress Notes (Entering Date, Time, Content, Topic)
Dating Materials
• Pre-Label all work samples (letting Cameron know when you need extras)
• Dating materials that the instructor says will not be used for a work sample
In Classroom Support
• Support the classroom (running small groups, working with a student 1:1, etc.)
Billing
• Help instructors scan billing packets
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Associates Degree in Psychology, Special Education, Rehabilitation or a related human services field preferred. Looking for a candidate with experience working with students with developmental disabilities. Equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of education. Must have valid NC Driver’s License and driving record that adheres to Agency standards. Must be able to work in various schools in multiple counties. Must pass background check and drug screening.
Salary
Commensurate with experience.
Physical Requirements
Position is considered sedentary to light, requiring 50% sedentary and 50% mobility. Travel between multiple schools in different counties. Lifting less than 10 pounds. Requires visual observation and the ability to communicate with a variety of individuals.
