Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess the necessary skills to assist in providing high-quality veterinary services.
Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians in examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures
- Perform animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, grooming, and monitoring behavior
- Administer medications and vaccines under the direction of a veterinarian
- Conduct laboratory tests and analyze results
- Provide animal restraint during procedures
- Utilize veterinary terminology accurately
- Perform animal catheterization and X-rays as needed
- Monitor and record vital signs of animals
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the clinic
Requirements:
- Certification or degree in Veterinary Technology
- Proficiency in animal care techniques and procedures
- Knowledge of animal physiology and behavior
- Experience with laboratory equipment and procedures
- Strong communication skills with both pet owners and team members
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience in pet care or animal shelter settings
- Familiarity with various breeds of animals
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently
