Community Unit School District 200 is Hiring a District Before and After School Program Director Near Wheaton, IL

Reports to: Assistant Superintendent of Student Services

Oversees: Elementary BASP Site Directors

Primary Responsibility:

To coordinate, improve and promote the District's Before and After School Program through better communication between Site Directors, Principals and other administrative staff in order to offer consistent, quality childcare district wide and to insure that all sites are in fact "self-supporting".

Performance Responsibility:

Address and review safety issues at each site with Site Director and Building Principal as needed.

Assist in maintaining standardized methods of bookkeeping and record-keeping, including attendance forms, revenue, and expenditure procedures and year-end tax requirements.

Work with Site Directors to coordinate subsidy payments-for students enrolled in all BASP sites.

Assist with Building Principals in hiring and evaluating future Site Directors.

Assist Site Directors in hiring and coordinating staff for their programs if needed.

Implement staff development for Site Directors. (i.e. computer training, CPR/First Aide training, student services training (behavior, autism), food ideas, crafts and group games, and presentations from school personnel)

Build a relationship with our two high schools to offer opportunities for their students to volunteer in our BASP programs as homework mentors group game coordinators, etc.

Direct quarterly meetings with Site Directors.

Communicate with K-5 Principals as needed.

Conduct site visits as and meet with site directors when needs arise.

Manage and communicate information and systems with regard to the BASP programing via the district website, BASP parent handbook, and other written communication.
