Under the direction of the Chief Technology Officer, the Director of IT coordinates and implements a multi-dimensional, secure, Information Technology program serving the CTI enterprise & subsidiaries.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supervise and manage the IT Manager as well as staff when necessary.
  • Manage vendor relationships.
  • Monitor IT service contracts, compliance, and performance.
  • Align technology procurements and supporting personnel to meet the specific needs of each CTI program and each subsidiary.
  • Develop and maintain an information technology migration strategy that anticipates and forecasts technology solutions for the CTI enterprise and individual program requirements.
  • Working with the CTO, develop and promote IT standards.
  • Promote a continuous improvement mentality across the IT department.
  • Leverage CTI’s technology investments to improve the success and competitiveness in grant support and donor solicitations.
  • Monitor and measure the performance of IT services, hardware, and software platforms in supporting multiple CTI program goals.
  • Supervise quality performance of voice/data performance of CTI’s wide area and local area networks consisting of wired and wireless connectivity, fiber optic, and VoIP.
  • Working with the IT Security Analyst, maintain the performance and security of all CTI IT related systems and improve the current security awareness platforms.
  • Responsible for managing and maintaining all devices attached to the CTI network or infrastructure (i.e. laptops, desktops, surveillance equipment, etc.)
  • Maintain business continuity (BC) and disaster recovery (DR) support for CTI’s “mission critical” physical infrastructures and applications.
  • Maintain current technological knowledge and actively investigate new and emerging State of the Art IT technologies.
  • This position may need to work off hours (outside normal business M-F 8:30-5) to complete projects or work where appropriate to minimize the impact to the business.
  • Perform special projects and other related duties as required; participate in consultative guidance to CTI program personnel on project specific applications and technologies.

Qualifications include:

Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or a related field with 5 years of demonstrated hands-on experience with back-end infrastructure and people management.

Proven track record as an IT Manager or IT Director with 4 years experience required.

IT certifications preferred (CompTIA IT Fundamentals, PMP, Management, etc.).

Strong working knowledge of supported Microsoft Operating Systems.

Infrastructure experience, VMWare, Citrix, Firewalls, Switches/Routers, SAN and SDWAN.

Ability to effectively communicate and consult with coworkers with varied levels of technical understanding across all roles with exposure to the Executive Team.

Experience with Office 365, Azure and other cloud-based IT solutions.

Ability to work both independently and cooperatively with MSP, internal employees, Internal IT Team, and support vendors.

Excellent project management skills in a distributed IT environment, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budgetary guidelines.

Knowledge of Compliance regulations and MA 201 CMR 17, HIPAA.

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Experience with outsourced VOIP phone systems and all facets of telecommunications.

Strong leadership and decision making along with ability to effectively supervise, motivate and develop staff.

Vendor Management, contract negotiations, billing, budgeting, purchasing.

Experience with access control and video surveillance systems.
