ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Implementation of the Individualized Plan (ISP) and Behavior Support Plan (BSP).
Implement crisis intervention procedures.
Provide all services (crisis intervention, applied behavior analysis and Community Specialist) per qualifications and as assigned by the Clinical Director
Document Individualized Plan and Behavior Support Plan (BSP) outcomes.
Complete monthly summaries by the 15th of the month (Community Specialist services only)
Assist in assessment and training procedures. delete space
Develop and maintain a positive relationship with individuals served.
Work as a team member interdependently and facilitate other CSS staff to do the same.
Take initiative and demonstrate creativity and enthusiasm when working with individuals and their families.
Committed to providing quality services to individuals and their families.
Monitor individual physical and emotional health; report all significant issues to the program director.
Administer and document individual’s medications.
Provide transportation for individuals served as needed.
Perform hygiene activities, if required.
Heavy lifting (over 50 lbs.) on a repeated basis required for care of individuals for performing job functions such as transferring. Also required to bend, twist, stoop and kneel to perform the essential functions of the position.
Follow operational policies and procedure developed by the Agency.
Focus on solving conflict, listens without interruption, keeps emotions under control, and remain open to new ideas.
Mandatory training is required in CPR/First Aid, CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention)Medication Administration and any specialized training for individuals served. BFit technician is responsible to attend required trainings to stay current.
Submit all required documentation by the required deadlines.
Mandated reporter of any possible abuse or neglect incident.
Must be able to fulfill on call duties as assigned, including on-call rotation, crisis phone dispatching and applicable procedures.
MINIMUM REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Confidence in interaction with individuals of all ages and with a variety of disabilities.
Ability to learn and understand applied behavior analysis principles and apply them to various situations. Knowledge of graphing and formulas used in programs including but not limited to Excel.
Have a positive attitude while demonstrating dependability, promptness and responsibility.
Good written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrate positive team interaction skills
Approaches others in a tactful manner, reacts well under pressure, treats others with respect, accepts responsibility and follows through on commitments.
Be able to work independently and within a team atmosphere
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor degree, High School Diploma or GED Equivalency. Meet driver-approved standards as described in the Vehicle Usage Policy. A valid driver’s license and good driving record, as well as proof of current auto insurance is required. Must have cell phone access for on call responsibilities. One (1) year experience working with individuals with disabilities. Have certification from the BACB as a registered behavior technician or earn this certification within 90 days of employment.
OTHER INFORMATION:
As a routine part of this position working hours may vary which could include any shift/day to meet the needs of the individual served. It may be necessary to work in other facilities, work additional hours if need arises and may also be required to adjust schedules to meet the needs of the individuals served. This position requires driving for business and transportation of individuals served. It is required to have dependable transportation with functioning heat and air conditioning systems and functioning seat belts for safety. RBT’s are clinically supervised by BCBAs and/or BCaBA’s.
