Job Title: Quality Assurance Coordinator

Department: Behavioral Health Services

Reports to: Program Director

Under the general supervision of a Program Director of Behavioral Health Services and in a collaborative role within the department, the Quality Assurance Coordinator will assist in ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations as well as Community Residences Inc. Policies & Procedures. The Quality Assurance Coordinator will assist the department directors with new development endeavors, audits, trainings, Therap monitoring and administrative changes as needed.

  1. Audit the maintenance of case files and any related documents to ensure compliance with agency requirements, state and federal regulations.
  2. Oversee quality improvement activities including preparation of required reports, collection of program service data and audit preparation for all programs within Behavioral Health Services unless otherwise specified.
  3. Identify any training needs of staff through audits and assist in developing or obtaining appropriate trainings with the Program Directors.
  4. Audit case records on an approved scheduled to insure thoroughness, consistency, timeliness and compliance to Community Residences Inc., state and federal policies and regulations.
  5. Ensure facilities are safe; work with directors to develop and implement appropriate procedures to address safety issues.
  6. Attend all licensings to assist the team with anything they may needs throughout the licensing process.
  7. Consistently be aware of any regulation changes and educate the program directors as needed. If applicable, review and update current systems.
  8. Maintain and increase professional development and skills by attendings training, adhering to all policies and regulations.
  9. Assist the Associate Executive Director and Program Directors in the development of licensing new projects/programs, ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulatory requirements as well as organizational tasks.
  10. Audit Therap data collection and regular maintenance as required. Create reports as requested by Program Directors.
  11. Maintain any staffing changes on Therap, including but not limited to, new hires, transfers and any other employment status changes.
  12. Perform all other duties as delegated or requested by the Associate Executive Director and Program Directors.

  1. Recognize, identify and quantify problems within any programs or systems currently being utilized.
  2. Problem solve, develop and implement action plans to rectify identified problems.
  3. Understand, utilize and maintain Community Residences Inc. systems and operations.
  4. Generate and develop new ideas to improve existing operations.
  5. Collaborate with team members with any issues that may need to be addressed as needed.
  6. Present new ideas, programs and systems in a positive manner and build commitments towards successful implementation to the Program Directors.
  7. Acknowledge, listen and respond to individual concerns.
  8. Communicate to all levels of staff in a clear, confident, concise and organized manner.

Requirements:

  1. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in management and operations of residential service programs with an emphasis on exhibited compliance with state and federal regulations.
  2. A bachelor’s degree in Human Services is preferred, but not required.
  3. Valid driver’s license, ability to drive own or agency vehicle with a good driving record.
  4. Leadership, administrative and supervisory skills.
  5. Knowledge of residential/day program services, applicable regulations and current best practices.
  6. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  7. Must be fluent with Therap/electronic record-keeping.
  8. Experience with various Microsoft programs (Word, excel etc.)
  9. Self-sufficient, excellent organizational and planning and time management skills.
