Early Childhood Specialist – Infant/ToddlerCommunity Partnership of Southeast Missouri (CPSEMO)
Infant Toddler Childcare Provider Network (ITN)

Full Time/Term/Grant Funded

The Early Childhood Specialist will provide on-site coaching and mentoring customized for infant and toddler
teachers in licensed and licensed exempt child care centers in the Southeast Region to strengthen high
quality, responsive, and relationship-based infant/toddler care. The Early Childhood Specialist will also
administer program quality assessments, cohort, and best practice trainings.

Required Qualifications

 An Associate’s Degree or higher in Child Development, Early Childhood Education,
Family Studies, Social Work, or a closely related field.
 At least two (2) years of professional experience working with infants/toddlers or
possess an Infant/Toddler Child Development Associate (CDA) credential; and
 At least three (3) years professional experience working with infants and/or toddlers
in a child care center

Primary Responsibilities

 Administer on-site coaching, mentoring, modeling, and training to licensed and licensed exempt child care
centers exclusively for infant and toddler teachers in the Southeast region.
 Establish and maintain certification to administer infant/toddler program quality assessments.
Ability to build rapport with infant/toddler teachers and child care center directors
 Travel extensively within a twenty-two county service area of the southeast region
to provide on-site coaching, consultation, and assessments.
 Recruit new qualified infant and toddler teachers for participation in the program.
 Evening and Saturday hours will occasionally be required.
 Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
 Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
 Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
 Use of a personal vehicle is required and will be reimbursed monthly

Compensation: Commensurate with experience.
