Medical Assistant

Community PACE at Home is seeking a Medical Assistant to work within our clinic alongside our full Inter Disciplinary Team to care for our elderly participants. Our highly skilled health care team provides health care services to our geriatric population within the community. Job description:

Under the direct and indirect supervision of Director of Clinical Services/RN or designee the MA is responsible for providing various care services necessary for attending to the personal needs, support, and health status of participants.

· Assists Clinic with medical needs of participants.

· Oversees all incoming medical records.

· Knowledge of medical coding. Verifies that the proper medical codes are attached to visit notes.

· Informs team members of change in participant's condition.

· Reports to provider/RN/Director of Clinic Services and performs duties as assigned.

· Participate as a member of IDT as needed. Report on personal care services provided and the self-care abilities of participant, including changes noted in participant's condition.

· Provide care as assigned in a safe manner, consistent with medical assistant certification and the policies and procedures of the center.

Requirements:

· Completed an accredited Medical Assisting Program.

· Certificate in Medical Assisting.

· 1 year experience working with the frail elderly population.

· 1 year experience EMR systems.

· CPR Certified

· Valid Driver’s License
