Community Nursing Services is Hiring a Physical Therapy Assistant, Full-Time Near Layton, UT

Community Nursing Services, "CNS," in Layton is seeking a full time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA). This Physical Therapy Assistant will have the opportunity to coordinate and work with a talented group of therapists with extensive home health history. This position covers Davis and Weber counties.

Compensation:

Hourly Range: $28 - $35

Days Worked: Monday - Friday - Hours Worked: 8am - 5pm

Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to physical therapist's effectiveness by identifying patient care issues; providing information and commentary; recommending options and courses of action; implementing physical therapy directives.
  • Documents patient care services
  • Performs therapeutic procedures by administering manual exercises; instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients in performing physical activities, such as non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, and daily-living activities; and in using supportive devices, such as crutches, canes, and prostheses.
  • Instructs and counsels patients by describing therapeutic regimens; promoting wellness and health maintenance.
  • Provide continuity of care by carrying out the plan of care as designated by the physical therapist.
  • Provide therapeutic treatments and teach client and family strategies for independence

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or above
  • Licensed Physical Therapist in Utah
  • Valid Utah Driver's license
  • Reliable transportation
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Prior home care experience preferred
