General Summary

Serve as back-up to the Branch Manager, following the same internal guidelines and procedures in certain areas of the Branch. Also maintain other full-time positions as assigned, typically Teller or New Account Representative.

Principal Responsibilities and Duties

• Responsible for staying up to date on and complying with all applicable banking laws and regulations as well as CNB policies and procedures.
• All job duties assigned on a full-time basis, Teller, or New Account Representative
• In the Branch Managers absence or as needed to fill in, approve cashier’s checks over $2,500 by signing the Branch Managers name by their initials, without the Branch Managers pre-approval. This would be their responsibility to make good/informed decisions on these checks.
• In the Branch Managers absence or as needed to fill in, approve debit card increases. This would include signing the Debit Card Increase forms as the officer approval as well as doing the maintenance on these cards for Personal accounts. This responsibility would include making a good/informed decision on the approval. This would not include permanent increases, only temporary.
• Refund Fees as deemed appropriate.
• Assist Branch Manager with monthly audits and reports.
• Handling customer issues or complaints is the absence of the Branch Manager, reporting these issues once the Branch Manager returns.
• Would need to be available to cover all shifts at the branch, opening or closing, as needed.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in the job classification.
• Work overtime as needed.
• Work cooperatively with others.

• Must have great communication with Branch Manager and branch staff.
• Must keep Branch Manager apprised of all issues and follow up to issues.
• Must present a professional appearance.
• Must be highly organized and a self- starter.
• Must be customer oriented.
• Must be proficient in Fiserv Operation related processes.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to count large sums of money.
• Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with customers and personnel of other departments.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to maintain good customer service even if conditions are not favorable i.e., computer systems down, phone systems not working properly, staff shorthanded.

Working Conditions

• Generally good. Some exposure to adverse conditions when traveling between branches.
• Exposed to potentially hazardous conditions, i.e., robbery. Receives detailed instructions concerning procedures to be followed for minimal exposure.
• Moderate noise level produced by drive-in equipment.

Physical Requirements

• Move office equipment, and files weighing 10 pounds.
• Constantly operate a computer, a calculator, copy machine, printer, and other office equipment.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time to process work and assist customers.
