Job Summary: Responsible for providing the patient with a personal representative able to answer questions on patient accounts and billing policies. Process claims to government payers. Resolve denials, errors, and credit balances; submit appeals; manage recurring accounts; compliant billing according to regulations.
Requirements: Experience working in a hospital or clinic business office for a minimum of 2 years. Experience and knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid billing, and claim submissions are preferred. Must possess or be able to pass the Medicare Billing Certificate Program within one year from your date of hire. Must demonstrate a strong knowledge of the patient registration process. Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with tactful, courteous customer relations; must have computer word processing skills; must have competent written and verbal communication skills; be capable of interacting with all levels of staff; must have basic mathematical comprehension and be accurate in basic mathematical calculations.
