Responsibilities

Assist medical center staff in providing medical or technical procedures and assist with patient flow and care. Specific duties include taking vital signs, giving handouts, graphing height, weight, blood-pressure, giving injections and ensuring that appropriate tests are completed prior to doctor's examination.

Qualifications

Education• High School Diploma, General Education Development (GED) or Completion of a CMC Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required• Completion of a course of study consistent with the requirements for Medical Assistants as specified by the Medical Board of California required

Experience• 3 months of experience in the medical field required• Training in giving injections preferred

Licenses and Certifications• BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
