Responsibilities

We are looking for a Medical Assistant to join our Community Health Partners team! As part of a collaborative team, you will support the medical practice providers and nurses in providing medical or technical procedures and assist with patient flow and care. From taking vital signs, to giving injections, to graphic weight and height, including blood pressure, you will support and ensure that appropriate tests are completed prior to the doctor's examination.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
• Completion of a course of study consistent with the requirements for Medical Assistants as specified by the Medical Board of California required 
• 3 months of experience in the medical field required

Licenses and Certifications 

• BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
