Responsibilities

Under general supervision the Clinical Data Registry Specialist identifies, collects and abstracts clinical patient data for all assigned registries. Responsibilities include: collection and data entry of detailed clinical information obtained from medical records in accordance with established guidelines, ensures data quality and consistency, provides primary support to Clinical Abstractors, participates in registry abstraction planning, procedures and methodologies in support of reporting clinical outcomes, assists with ensuring compliance of all requirements of assigned registries and submits data to approved national and state registries. 

Qualifications

Education• High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required Experience• 1 year of experience in a healthcare support position working with medical records and computers required• Database management and data abstraction experience preferred
