CMADC is a leading healthcare practice dedicated to providing exceptional vision care services for infants, children, and adolescents in the Rockland County area. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pediatric Ophthalmologist or Optometrist to join our growing team and play a vital role in ensuring the eye health and visual development of our young patients.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations for infants, children, and adolescents, tailored to their specific age and developmental stage.
• Diagnose and manage a wide range of pediatric eye conditions.
• Prescribe eyeglasses or contact lenses to correct refractive errors and improve visual acuity.
• Perform vision therapy exercises for patients with amblyopia or other visual processing problems.
• Detect signs of potential eye diseases and systemic conditions that can manifest in the eyes.
• Provide education and counseling to parents and caregivers on maintaining children's eye health and visual development.
• Collaborate with pediatricians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for children.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in pediatric ophthalmology/optometry through continuing education.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient medical records.

Qualifications:

• (Ophthalmologist): Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from an accredited medical school. Completion of a residency program in Ophthalmology accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
• Board certification by the American Board of Ophthalmology 
• N Y State Medicaid Provider ID
• (Optometrist): Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school. Completion of a residency program in Pediatrics or a related field (preferred). Board certification by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry (NBO) is required.
