Description

• Manage the process of drafting and updating Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSP) and Exception to Policy (ETP) restrictive procedures for clients in compliance with the funding source and state regulations, based on client data collected on a monthly basis by CIS staff, funding sources, collateral contacts, and/or treatment providers.
• Track and monitor client data as outlined in the CIS client data policy as required in DDA policy 5.21.
• Ensure staff understand the information included in the client’s PBSP, including recognizing and documenting problematic behaviors, following individual treatment plans and/or program guidelines and working with Program Managers to ensure that the information is appropriately and accurately documented. 
• Conduct periodic review of client PBSP, treatment guidelines as well as crisis plans and modify as needed or on an emergency basis as necessary/required and ensure continuity of plans.
• Ensure that DDA health and safety notices are disseminated to all of the houses. 
• Provide input related to staff training and scheduling issues with the training/recruiting department and clinical department as needed.
• Monitor program clinical compliance with all legal, funding, licensing and corporate requirements.
• May review, evaluate and make recommendations for new client referrals. 
• Maintain regular communication with client individual and group therapists to coordinate quality of treatment and address specific client issues.
• Support House Program Managers’ interface with client medication prescribers related to medication management, providing data as needed (behavioral, sleep, side-effects, etc.).
• Support program communication with parents/guardians regarding clients during crisis or when House Program Managers needs assistance. 
• Facilitate the monthly Safety Committee meetings with Lead Staff.
• As an essential function of this position, the employee must be able to handle high levels of stress satisfactorily and be congenial with other employees, parents, supporting agencies and customers at all times.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of professional human service experience or Master’s Degree in counseling or related field preferred. Must be highly organized, excellent written and speaking skills, flexible, service oriented, and professional. Solid computer skills with programs such as Word. Demonstrated proficiency in the fundamental concepts, principals, practices related to working with behaviorally challenged individuals.
