TITLE: Certified Pharmacy Technician

DEPARTMENT: Canyon View Pharmacy 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Triage pharmacist specific questions and requests to pharmacist.
• Responsible for proper storage and documentation of pharmaceutical product shipments.
• Place purchase orders for pharmaceutical products through online wholesale accounts.
• Receive pharmaceutical product shipments into the pharmacy.
• Refill empty and near-empty medication storage spaces within the Automated Dispensing Machines.
• Maintain functional inventory for anesthesia specific machines.
• Deliver labeled medication to patient-specific storage spaces.
• Monitor and maintain medication expiration dates throughout the facility.
• Prepare sterile and non-sterile products within current USP guidelines. Sterile products include both non-hazardous and hazardous medications.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent with at least two (2) years pharmacy technician experience preferred, but not required.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

• Pharmacy technician certification with the Colorado State Board of Pharmacy.

 This position's hiring pay range is: $21.00 - 25.20 per hour, depending on education and experience.
