Full time Epic Application Analyst needed to join our team.

Position Summary:

  • The Epic Application Analyst will assist in the development, support and functionality of the roll out of Epic.
  • Will be responsible for optimization of the system to include conduction training and creating training materials.
  • Will serve as a resource to our ambulatory sites for ongoing support.
  • Work directly with physicians and physician team members.
  • Conduct analysis to determine best path for solving business problems/opportunities that may include process improvement, systems enhancement or user training.
  • Provide support on additional add on software programs.
  • Ensure the clinical partners are accurately heard by collaborating with various internal and external teams to include vendors.

Essential Functions:

  • A thorough understanding of clinical day to day operations and ePHI access controls.
  • Must possess excellent computer and analytical skills.
  • Strong knowledge and experience working in functional setup, testing, deployment, training, and support of business and clinical applications.
  • Strong knowledge of HIPAA and Hitech standards
  • Performs customer service functions by answering phones and assisting users with support ticket resolution.
  • Possesses excellent customer service; emphasis on strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must exhibit professionalism and courtesy.
  • Exceptional problem solving skills
  • Ability to serve as a liaison with other departments and end users
  • Understands department / function mission and applies this understanding to achieve project / engagement / proposal objectives.
  • Exhibits working knowledge and understanding of information technology concepts and technologies.
  • Possesses strong problem and issue resolution experience.
  • Ability to be involved in multiple projects at the same time
  • Good organization skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple activities and objectives in a rapidly changing environment, and deliver quality service.
  • Very strong technical skills coupled with business intelligence and a deep understanding of customer's needs so that they can be transformed into application and operational requirements.

Functional Accountabilities:

  • Performs customer service functions by answering customer questions and addressing any reporting inquiries or concerns.
  • Prioritizes and plans work activities efficiently.
  • Document all requests and resolutions within ticket tracking system.
  • Always work as a team member within the entire company.
  • Prioritize emergency requests and resolve or escalate quickly.
  • Provide quality service while minimally impacting patient care.
  • Ability to work independently to resolve customer issues.
  • Deliver projects on-time and to specification with an appropriate level of quality.
  • Understanding business process management and business requirements of the customers and translating them to specific software requirements.
  • Making sure that the solution recommended is conducive to efficient workflows while within budget constraints.
  • Documenting and analyzing the required information and data.
  • Understanding the technical designs as well as the specifications.
  • Evaluating the information gathered through workshops and surveys, business process description and task analysis.
  • Acting as an interface between business units, technology teams and support teams
  • Facilitating conversations with vendors and other outside sources
  • Writing business requirements and transforming and testing data
  • Working with vendors to resolve any problems or issues regarding requirements
  • Managing carrier relationships and the intake of data on behalf of clients
  • Evaluating the integrity of data based on industry norms or client specifications
  • Assisting in the conversion of internal processes from manual to automated through coding and programming
  • Provides business and software application-based guidance to implementation team members throughout the project / engagement / proposal life-cycle.
  • May lead portions of small/medium sized projects or be responsible for subsystem implementation in a large project.
  • Leads analysis, problem-solving, and evaluation activities on special application topics related to project / engagement / demonstrating software / proposal objectives.
  • Display commitment to providing exceptional customer service and responding to user needs in a prompt, courteous manner.
  • Proficient at specifying user requirements, interacting with technical, health care staff and vendors, and documenting user needs, outcomes, and procedures.
  • Maintains a positive attitude and be willing to learn new skills.
  • Acts as a project leader when necessary.
  • Creates training materials when needed
  • Demonstrates success in the techniques and communication skills needed to successfully support software installation and application support.
  • Utilizes project management and other professional software tools.
  • Provides end user training when needed
  • Willingness to work after hours and on weekends as necessary for project implementations
  • Epic Certification Ambulatory preferred
  • Epic Certification Cadence preferred
  • Experience in gathering client business requirements preferred
  • Readiness to travel up to 20%
  • Training in automated systems, Windows and web technology required
  • EHR experience preferred
  • Must have a license to drive
