Description

The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to take care of the mental, emotional or behavioral disorders of Health Center Patients

• Provide evidence-based evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of patients including prescribing medications and/or other psychotherapeutic interventions
• Develop treatment plans, measure progress against the plans, and make adjustments as needed
• Provide crisis intervention as needed
• Complete all necessary clinical documentation in an accurate and timely manner
• Collaborate with a broader team of physicians, nurses, social workers, to assess and adjust treatment plans
• Coordinate and communicate with case managers, family members and other stakeholders regarding treatment and care
• Participate in the teaching of students and other trainees
• Participate in departmental and organizational quality improvement programs

Qualifications

Certified APRN with a clinical specialty in Psychiatry. All levels of experience considered as well as a desire to work with underserved populations in a multi-disciplinary setting .
