- Utilizes a trauma-informed approach to client care.
- Performs individual, group and crisis intervention counseling and therapy.
- Conducts assessments and formulates diagnostic impressions by conducting individual/family interviews.
- Facilitates group therapy utilizing evidence-based curricula.
- Develop client-centered treatment plans based on the needs, strengths, abilities and preferences of the client.
- Assists clients in crisis by evaluating and providing appropriate interventions.
- Develops plans for transition and discharge.
- Engages family and supportive others in treatment, transition and discharge planning processes.
- Evaluates clients’ progress towards goals, utilizes motivational enhancement strategies and determines appropriate interventions/modalities based on the individualized needs of each client.
- Promotes participation in self-help and recovery support groups.
- Effectively communicates and coordinates with treatment team members and referral sources.
- Maintains accurate, complete, concise and timely documentation in the electronic medical record in accordance with agency policy and regulator standards.
- Must be licensed in the State of Ohio – LSW, LPC, LISW, or LPCC.
- Knowledge of the DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual) and ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) criteria.
- Knowledge of and experience in diagnostic assessments, cognitive behavioral therapeutic modalities and trauma-informed care.
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications, including Office Suite, Outlook and Teams.
- Adept at learning and navigating electronic health record systems.
