Radiologic Technologist (Part-Time, Days/Evenings/Nights, Weekend/Holiday Rotations)

Job Description:

• Radiologic Technologists work under the general supervision of the Radiology Supervisor/Director of Imaging Services, and the clinical direction of the Radiology Medical Director.
• The technologist will perform diagnostic procedures at a technical level as outlined in the Department Policy and Procedure Manual.
• Supports the Mission and Philosophy of the Hospital recognizing the dignity and worth of human life in daily activities.

Rad Tech Roles and Responsibilities:

• Take radiographic images of patients’ bones, tissues, and organs as per physicians’ written orders, using x-ray equipment.
• Explain x-ray procedures to patients, answer questions, position patient accordingly.
• Maintain accurate record of completed x-ray procedures.
• Work closely with Radiologist to determine whether further tests are required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of radiological technology. Certified by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, ARRT (R).
• Licensure by the Indiana State Board of Health must be obtained and kept current. Registry eligible is acceptable but passage of test must be completed within one year of graduation.
• Current license from the Indiana State Department of Health to operate ionizing radiation equipment.
• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for Neonates, Infants, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric patients/family served.
