Medical Administrative Assistant Home Health

The Home Health Office Administrative Assistant is responsible for multiple functions of home health operations including, but not limited to clinical intake, clinical orders, and general office administration.

This role is primarily responsible for performing a range of clerical and administrative tasks to support daily operations in a fast paced office setting

Duties:
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or staff member
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Collect and update patient information, including medical history and insurance details
- Maintain patient records/orders and ensure their accuracy and confidentiality
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers or specialists

Qualifications:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate with health plan members, providers, physicians, and health plan representatives

Excellent interpersonal, customer service skills and telephone etiquette

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with ability to prioritize, plan, and handle multiple tasks/demands simultaneously

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong ability to process data and provide accurate report to management

Possess positive attitude and strong collaborative business ethic

Possess strong administrative skills for effective coordination

Ability to function well in a high-paced environment

Previous experience in a medical office or medical insurance office required.
