COMPENSATION: Full Time, Hourly, Range @ $20 - $28 based on experience

JOB SUMMARY:

The Leadership & Community Equity Program Coordinator spearheads the development of initiatives aimed at empowering marginalized and underserved communities. Responsibilities include overseeing all facets of the Leadership Training Academy, designing and delivering learning curricula for adult learners on equity, inclusion, and leadership, and ensuring alignment with program objectives. Moreover, the role entails managing program activities and schedules, active participation in community engagements, crafting project protocols, assessing program efficacy through both qualitative and quantitative metrics, generating monthly progress reports, administering budgetary allocations, and cultivating collaborative partnerships with external entities and services.

Proficiency in effectively engaging culturally and linguistically diverse, low-income, and vulnerable populations, including at-risk youth and undocumented communities, is essential. Additionally, a nuanced understanding of the obstacles faced by justice-impacted individuals is essential.

This position includes supervision of Leadership program ambassadors across Chelan, Douglas, Grant, and Okanogan Counties.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Oversee and coordinate CAFE Leadership Academy activities, including participant recruitment and retention, planning, coordinating, and implementing Leadership Academy cohorts, tracking and organizing participant information, ensuring program collaterals are up to date, maintaining communication with program alumni and participants, assisting program participants with community projects, and coordinating and leading events such as facilitator training, retreats, meetings, and graduation ceremonies.
  • Raise awareness about issues related to social justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion. Provide educational resources to empower community members with knowledge about their rights and opportunities.
  • Develop and deliver adult curriculum programming, including planning, organizing, and facilitating seminars, presentations, and workshops according to leadership development learning objectives, community equity gaps, and social justice topics.
  • Represent CAFE at community events to build relationships and partnerships with other organizations and community members.
  • Serves as a strategic leader, and a representative for CAFE in public meetings or engagements.
  • Measure program success through qualitative and quantitative methods such as surveys, questionnaires, pre and post evaluations, and program metrics.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Additional duties:

  • Participate in a team rotation to staff events hosted by CAFE including community outreach events, forums, seminars, and other engagements.
  • Collaborate with other CAFE staff with community organizing efforts to provide CAFE information and community resources;
  • Participate in CAFE activities and events;
  • Meet monthly, quarterly and annual program requirements as established with manager and collaborate with larger team to achieve organizational goals
  • Support organization projects as requested by the Executive Director and/or Programs Manager;
  • Work as a team until team goals are met as requested by the Executive Director and/or Programs Manager;

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven expertise in employing effective teaching & learning practices tailored to adult learners, including interactive learning approaches.
  • Fundamental grasp of principles concerning equity and inclusion in educational & community settings.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • High level of computer literacy including MS Office Suite, Google Services and Zoom.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiarity with social, economic, and cultural issues relevant to the Latinx and communities of color.
  • Experience working with socially vulnerable populations such as low income, houseless folks, undocumented communities, and at-risk youth.
  • BA degree or above.
