Salary Range: $19.50 - $28.00 Hourly

GENERAL SUMMARY:

A dynamic Event Specialist managing all facets of in-house and offsite events. This role is fit for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about creating engaging experiences. The Event Specialist will perform a full range of duties to support the mission of Community First Bank and HFG Trust, and will strive to cultivate meaningful relationships with community organizations and professionals.

STATEMENT OF EXPECTATIONS:

  • Maintaining knowledge and understanding of banking rules, regulations, laws, and all policies and procedures pertaining to them including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Regulation E and Regulation CC.

  • Exhibiting a professional, business-like appearance and demeanor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Develop internal business partner relationships.
  • Do final checks at the day of the event (i.e. - tables, technology) to ensure everything meets standards.
  • Address and solve logistical challenges, ensuring each event is successful and aligns with brand values.
  • Implement and monitor event budgets to ensure financial accountability.
  • Evaluate event’s success - analyze data, trends, and feedback to identify areas of improvement and implement appropriate strategies.
  • Managing attendee satisfaction surveys
  • Collaborate with relationship managers, marketing, and executive leadership to identify key community organizations with which to partner; cultivate relationships and support community partners through sponsorship events.
  • Maintains internal documentation and administrative processes.
  • Builds and maintains strong partnerships and relationships with businesses and community members through networking.
  • Flexible work schedule that will include some evening and weekend work. Perform additional duties as assigned for the efficient operation of the department and the organization.
  • Support Communication Marketing Specialist with and contribute to company produced publications (i.e. – Connect Magazine, white papers, guides, etc)
  • Assist with posting on social media accounts, ensuring active and engaging content.
  • Vendor Management, in relation to events.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience in event planning or management.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate and manage relationships with vendors and partners.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.
  • Proficient in social media management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to work with staff and public tactfully and professionally. Demonstrated ability to deepen relationships and explain products and services with confidence and authority.
  • Ability to maintain good client/customer relations and work in a team setting.
  • Ability to prioritize when working in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions quickly.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; maintaining personal networks.
  • Reason logically; be creative and take initiative.
  • Define challenges; develop, evaluate, recommend, and implement “best course” alternatives.
  • Work as a team member and independently; effectively apply organizational and time management skills; meet deadlines.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and guidelines regarding industry standards and regulations.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as required by event schedules, including evenings and weekends (as needed).
  • A team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude, eager to take on new challenges and have fun while working hard.
